The dream for The Masked Hero’s Spooktacular began with my brother, JR.
The dream for The Masked Hero’s Spooktacular began with my brother, JR.
Growing up alongside him showed me both the joy of the special needs community—and the need for more places where every person feels welcomed, celebrated, and free to be themselves.

That dream grew into a simple idea: create a Halloween celebration where barriers fade, confidence grows, and every Hero has the chance to shine.

Inspired by our experience helping start the Upshur County Special Olympics Prom, we brought that vision closer to home and gave it a uniquely spooky twist. Today, the Spooktacular is more than a dance—it’s a celebration of belonging, friendship, and unforgettable memories.
